How do I book?

Just call Adam on 07712115087. He can then check his diary and provisionally book you in. Bookings will be confirmed by email or telephone approx 1 week before.

What are your opening hours?

We are open 7 days a week from 8am to 6pm.

What areas do you cover ?

Glossy Autos is able to provide a comprehensive mobile service throughout the whole of Kent, London and the South East of England. We are willing to travel even further afield for our detailing services. Please note that fuel will be charged at 40p per mile from my address if further than 40 miles.

What is detailing?

Detailing is systematically rejuvenating the look and protecting the various surfaces of a vehicle.

What is paintwork correction?

correction process is the removal of common paint problems, such as scratches, bird limes, swirl marks, buffer marks, micro-marring, orange peel, cob-webbing and 3D hologram effects. This is carried out by re-levelling the laquer by 1 or 2 microns, so that the paintwork reflects light perfectly at all angles, including direct sunlight.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay either by cash or bank transfer. Payment must be made before collection of vehicle.

I’m collecting a new car. Why get it detailed before delivery?

Contrary to popular belief, new cars rarely look their best. Despite being treated to a quick wash and polish by the dealership (which will usually result in swirl marks caused by over-eager preperation and wrong cleaning techniques), residue from the protective film they wear during transportation may remain. They may have even been stored outside for a number of months, near docks, railways and other industrial areas – before being treated to a light dusting of contaminants when transported on the UK road system or by rail. Here at Glossy Autos we can travel to any dealership to properly prepare your brand new vehicle and protect it to give it the best possible start in life.

Can you collect and deliver my car?

Adam is unable to personally collect or deliver a car. If you need a car collected, detailed and then delivered, Adam can arrange for a specialist automotive transportation company to provide this service (at an additional cost).

Cancellations?

If you need to cancel, we require at least 72 hours prior to your confirmed booking or there will be a £50 cancellation fee.

I’ve recently purchased a black car, but after its first wash I’ve noticed swirl marks and the paintwork dulling. Why is this happening?

There are a number of reasons for this, but more often that not, it’s because someone less experienced has used sub standard products, techniques and buffing pads to remove scratches and other Defect in the paintwork. The swirl marks appear after the first wash because the polishes and glazes used contain fillers to mask the defects prior to sale and are simply washed away.

I want to enter my car for a concours event. Can you prepare it?
